Anker’s Nebula reveal Capsule 2 smart projector

Anker’s Nebula brand have unveiled the second iteration of their Capsule projector, dubbed the Capsule II.

The wifi smart projectors feature a built-in 360-degree speaker and are capable of running any Android app from the Google Play Store, giving access to thousands of sources of video content.

The new Capsule II is 100% brighter than its predecessor and features HD 720p resolution. The first Capsule came equipped with a 480p display.

Anker is offering users that pre-register here an early bird discount of up to 42% on the Nebula Capsule II and promise the device will launch on Kickstarter soon.

The original Anker Nebula Capsule offers 100 lumens of brightness, so expect at least 200 from the sequel. It’s likey to offer the same DLP IntelliBright display technology and Airplay/Miracast screen mirroring as the original.

The Capsule I, shown below on Amazon, features an internal battery for up to four hours of video playback; more than enough for even the longest movie.

There’s also an HDMI input if you want to do things the old-fashioned way, alongside Bluetooth for music streaming.

Other smart projectors offered under the Nebula brand include the Mars and Mars II, heftier devices with up to 500 lumens of brightness. They also feature dual 10-watt speakers.

All of Nebula’s projectors feature an expected lamp life of over 30,000 hours.
